Ah, simplicity at it’s finest. Just a dress and some beads. This is my go to outfit for a day when I have a bunch of different things going on — it can go from errands to pool coverup to a patio dinner, looking effortless the whole way. It’s versatility also makes it a great outfit to pack for trips.

If you’re in need of a great necklace for summer, look no further than these bead strands from Madewell. I wear them almost every day. I had my eye on them for a while, and when they went on sale I pounced. Hint: they’re still on sale.

Dress: Banana Republic outlet (similar)

Necklace: Madewell

Shoes: J.Crew

Bag: ONA

Perfectly simple. I love this look, and the versatility of it. Those slides are fabulous…I have them in gold. Your hair always looks so gorgeous too.

Beauty! Tell me about these shoes–are they comfortable? I almost bought the gold ones this weekend but didn’t, now I’m reconsidering!

Hey Hatsie! They are very comfortable to me — they broke in after just one wear — but be warned, they don’t have any padding or arch support whatsoever. I don’t need lots of support in my shoes, so it doesn’t bother me one bit, but you may want to take my opinion with a grain of salt. xo Caroline

Hey, great blog! I enjoy fashion but I completely don’t relate to 99% of the fashion blogs I’ve looked at in the past because I am also a tightwad, a fan of minimalism, and a mom in need of practical fashion. I feel like I’ve actually learned something practical and useful from perusing your blog today. Thanks!

    Hey Caroline,

Do you have one necklace or two? I want to order one but wasn’t sure if it’s long enough to double-wrap.

    Thanks!
