Capsule #3 / Outfit 29
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? My brother and sis-in-law came to Austin for a visit and we had such a restful, joyful weekend. I so love my siblings. And Aaron and I love getting to play host. We don’t let our tiny lil’ one bedroom apartment stop us. Sure, we’re excited about the day we can have a big farmhouse table and an actual guest bedroom, but in the meantime, we still want to welcome people in. Our cozy quarters right now make visits almost more memorable in a way, you know?
Anyway, here’s a sporty look for your more casual days. If you run into me at Target, I’ll probably be wearing this outfit. It’s definitely an errand outfit — but it’s a pretty one!
And if I wanted to get fancy later, I could swap those slides for some chunky heels + throw on a long necklace and be ready to go happy hour-ing.

Tanks and shorts are pretty much my summer uniform. I love your suggestion on how to glam them up!

This has been my summer go-to look as well! It’s super cute AND keep me cool. Win-win.

Cute! You wear it well! Sadly, I do not have the legs to do shorts very comfortably. But fortunately, I live in San Francisco where shorts are rarely called for. ;-) However, shorts and tights do work with our climate and also with my legs, so I may try that for the fall.
Love your website! Thanks so much! Like so many others here, I look forward to seeing what you put together for the fall. :-)
Hi Cynthia! Thanks for your comment + sweet words! I’m excited to share my Fall wardrobe. :) xoxo Caroline
This is so cute and put together for a day of errands. I would probably wear it sans the front-tuck, but that’s just my personal preference.

Aloha! I am so happy to have stumbled on to your blog. Your posts have inspired me to rethink my wardrobe. I went shopping in my own closet for my first capsule. (My picks are draped over the living room furniture.) And I have gotten down to business: I donated six (!) trashbags full of fashion missteps to a local thrift store. Thanks, too, for introducing me to the Classic Q Natasha – Mini. I am in LOVE with my new grey one!
